National Instruments PXI Platform
The UTS 800 utilizes the National Instruments PXI platform, an open industry-standard automated test platform based on high-performance PC technology and a software-defined architecture. PXI has become the industry standard for automated test and measurement applications. The high data bandwidth and modularity of PXI make it ideal for HDMI and MHL testing and will enable the addition of new capabilities as test requirements evolve.
Beyond Standards Testing
Product quality metrics have evolved to include the more complex real world “use case” support. The UTS 800 enables performance testing beyond standards through available modules that incorporate integrated human-perception modeling technologies to provide an overall MOS (Mean Opinion Score) video quality metric. Leveraging leading-edge research in the areas of Human Audio/Visual System (HAVS) models and algorithms, this is a core component of the Consumer Experience scoring mechanism.
